Beach is located 24 kilometers from the main city of Vishakhapatnam.
River Gosthani lies in the Bheemunipatnam Beach region.
It is a medium sized east flowing river that originates
on the Ananthagiri Hills of the Western Ghats. At the place
of its origin the Borra Caves are located.
In 1963 the Thatipudi Reservoir Project had been constructed
over the Gosthani River. It provides drinking water to the
main city of Vishakhapatnam. The river meets the sea (Bay
of Bengal) at Bheemanipatnam. On the way to Bheemunipatnam
Beach the Erramattidibbalu lures the tourists.
This is a kind of red sand that lies on the beaches of the
Gosthani River. The town on its banks is filled with numerous
pilgrim centers, old churches and temples which offer a
soothing sight for the visitors at Bheemunipatnam Beach.
